SMARTPHONE LIGHT AFFECTS THE BRAIN AND BODY (INFOGRAPHIC)


Did you know that your smartphone releases bright blue light enabling you to read what’s on its screen, even in the middle of the day when it’s perfectly bright?
Your smartphone emits a bright blue light that lets you read what is on the display screen even during the brightest points of the day. The light does not turn off or adjust based on the hour of the day. It is emitted frequently through our smartphones, laptops, TVs, and other devices.
In the end, it will stop the release of melatonin from your brain. Melatonin is the hormone that induce sleep and since the blur light your brain from releasing melatonin, you will have a hard time falling. That’s why experts advise to turn off all screen at least two hours before you go to bed.
The blue light especially affects teenagers who are more vulnerable to it. Their circadian rhythm shifts during adolescence, causing them to feel awake late into the night, so playing a video game or watching a TV show a couple of hours before going to bed may be enough to make their morning a living hell.
Dr. Martin Blank, from the Department of Physiology and Cellular Biophysics Columbia University, formed a team of experts who appealed to the UN about the detrimental effects of electromagnetic radiation from phones or Wi-Fi.
The use of these devices can cause numerous side-effects, including cancer. Unfortunately, even the smallest children nowadays grow up surrounded by electronic devices, and the brain of a child gets 4 more times radiation than an adult.
Furthermore, the Chinese even have a special name for the addiction to such electronics- an official clinical disorder.
